Leaf & Bean was founded in 2017.

Driven by our passion & desire to find & share quality products, we venture to all parts of the world uncovering a dazzling array of aromas & flavours.

Back here in our quaint & quirky shop in The Shambles of historical Bradford On Avon, Wiltshire, we try, test, love & sell our products. We have specifically chosen products to compliment each other and respect the growers and the environment.

The partnership comprises of years experience in teaching about environmental and social issues & a vast knowledge of sourcing the finest grown products from around the world.

Leaf & Bean Trading Company are an independent, family run business in the heart of beautiful Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire, offering a wide variety of luxurious, yet affordable grown products. Originating primarily from developing countries, we aim to give the highest social and environmental benefits to those people and places that provide us with amazing produce.

Our carefully selected range of products; Chocolate, Coffee, Tea & Tobacco, are things that we believe in and want to share.

We have a loose chocolate counter, offering award-winning, hand-made fresh chocolates from Lick the Spoon, a local company & a dairy-free, plant based range from a Bradford on Avon based company; Gaia Koko, using Rainforest Alliance Certified, directly traded, Ecuadorean chocolate. We also offer a range of other specialist, craft chocolate bars & goodies; including plant-based / vegan friendly and no added sugar, as well as many confectionery & gift items.

We have a loose coffee counter, offering a huge selection of ethically traded and eco-roasted beans from around the globe. Our beans are roasted locally using a closed loop system, making them not only tasty, but ethical and environmentally sound. Bring your own container for a discount. Whole bean or we can grind your beans to suit your brewing method. We also stock many brewing accessories.

A huge selection of loose leaf, speciality teas are the prime of our leaf products. We have teas to suit all tastes; everything from ‘basic builders’ to specialist butterfly blue pea flower! So whether you want an everyday brew or one for healthy, we can help. Many unique brewing accessories compliment our range.

Our walk in humidor is stocked with Cuban & New World cigars and we can find you your perfect match! We also have a range of pipes & pipe tobacco to cater for all tastes. We don’t sell these online due to legislation and cost, but do offer a mail order service for these products.

At Leaf & Bean we pride ourselves on sourcing our products, where possible, from local suppliers, or direct from the plantations, to ensure quality and maintain ethical trade standards; giving back to the farmers and their communities. . With an Environmental Science background and years of teaching, we pride ourselves on our care for the environment; something we are incredibly passionate about! From source to sale we aim to be as ethical and environmentally sound as possible. Our packaging is sustainable, re-usable, recyclable or compostable & we aim to search out suppliers who share our ethics.
